What is it like getting a ct scan like?

Easy: You lie on a platform which moves into the ring of the ct scanner. The exam usually takes less than a 2 minutes. You feel nothing but may be asked to hold your breath during the exam. Sometimes contrast medication is given into a vein to make body parts easier to see. Other than the mild sting of having a catheter put in a vein, most patients don't notice the injection of contrast.
