As i'm looking up information about appendicitis, most websites always say "dull pain." what does it mean?

Dull pain: As distinguished from sharp pain, knife-like, cutting, or piercing type pain. But these are typical symptoms, and sometimes appendicitis can present with atypical symptoms. Only a careful exam by a doctor can tell the difference.
