Yes It Can: Appendicitis can cause dull pain, typically starting around the umbilicus and then down to the right lower part of the abdomen. However, it does not always present in the typical form as mentioned. If pain persists in the abdomen,, I would advise you to seek medical review in ER Hope you get well soon

Appendicitis: Studies show that the appendix can have up to 6 anatomical locations and refer pain. The pain caused by appendicitis is often diffuse or vague but then localizes to the right lower quadrant.
