A member asked:

I've got a lot of the symptoms of appendicitis, minus the rebound pain! does this mean it's not appendicitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rebound tenderness: When it is present, is a clinical sign of localized peritonitis. If other symptoms, signs, and lab findings point to a reasonably high likelihood of appendicitis, a diagnostic ct scan or even laparoscopy might become necessary for accurate diagnosis. Consult your doctor for advice in your specific case.
