Call ur surgeon: Depending on how difficult the extraction was, you may or may not need narcotics. In addition, you may have a dry socket which needs to be evaluated locally. Your post gives very little information to go on.

Swelling and Pain: I would recommend Ibuprofen 600mg every 6 hours for first few days. It takes care of both swelling and pain.
