Not normally: After two months, you should be fully healed and pain free. It could be another problem or some unresolved issue from the extraction. Return to your dentist to be evaluated and if you don't get an answer that makes sense to you, see another dentist for a second opinion.

YES: After two months, it should be healed enough so the discomfort is very small. Sometimes, if the bone was really traumatized during the procedure, the resulting healing can be slow. That could cause some discomfort. Also, you could have something foreign, even a piece of dead bone, submerged in the area. Have your dentist look and maybe xray it.
