Nerve compression : Numbness to the small and ring finger is often due to nerve compression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow called cubital tunnel syndrome. A hand surgeon can evaluate this with exam and additional nerve tests to determine if you do have this syndrome and then give appropriate treatment. New minimally invasive surgery has decreased the recovery after cubital tunnel surgery.
