A member asked:

My sister says i should get treated because once in a while i get eye swelling? is he right?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Eye lids can swell from bodily fluid accumulation, local trauma or infection, certain types of chemotherapy or Prednisone and internal mass lesions. If intermittant, the causes are usually more benign. If the swelling is bothersome, get evaluated hopefully when the swelling is present. Your ophthalmolgist can distinguish among these and determine the best course of treatment.
