Depends on the cause: Ibuprofen is an excellent NSAID which will help reduce pain and swelling caused by inflammation- but you should first see an ophthalmologist to determine the cause of the pain and because pain relief alone may delay the diagnosis and cause more damage if antibiotics, antihistamines, or steroids are required to correct the underlying problem.
