Biopsy colonoscopy clear, still having pain in colon/tender to touch diverticulosis diag. can diverticulits flare have settled but still cause pain?

Possible: Diverticular patients may have chronic low grade discomfort in left lower quadrant, but after a flare of diverticulitis it may take several weeks for the pain to settle down.

Diverticulitis: Is inflammation and will cause pain. If there is no inflammation around the colon, there should not be pain. Seems more likely this is still some form of unresolved diverticulitis. More antibiotics might help, but, surgery to remove the inflamed area may be best approach. Consider consulting a surgeon.
