Diverticulitis: Is inflammation and will cause pain. If there is no inflammation around the colon, there should not be pain. Seems more likely this is still some form of unresolved diverticulitis. More antibiotics might help, but, surgery to remove the inflamed area may be best approach. Consider consulting a surgeon.
