Sugar: Sugar is a carbohydrate. Any carbohydrate you eat will be turned into sugar when digested. Avoid sweets and starches. Bread, rice, potato, pasta all are carbs. Regular sodas and fruit drinks have a lot of sugar too. Avoid alcohol which can raise your sugar.
