Front: Anterior refers to the front of the body. The placenta can implant on any portion of the uterus. Yours just happens to be on the front side. Totally normal. However, occasionally this can make it more difficult to hear baby's heart beat

Anterior Placenta: An anterior placenta means the placenta is closest to the front, or the abdomen. When a baby is in the second or third trimester, women with anterior placentas will still feel the baby move just as often, but may feel the baby's swings and kicks less strongly overall as a woman who has a posterior placenta (toward her back). There are no growth or health concerns for the baby.
