Do not loose hope: You should never loose hope. Go to your family and friends. If they have abandoned you, god won't never do that. Test my theory even if you are not a believer. Talk to god tonight at your bed in silence, nobody around. Person to person, like your friend, like your father. No protocols. You and him. Be silence, humble yourself and after talking, listen in silence. Be honest.Cry out and he'll listen.

Opiate addiction: Unfortunately, tom, opiates are hard to kick like tobacco. But like tobacco, it is your commitment to stick to a weaning plan that is your #1 chance of success.

Your mind & body: In addiction, your mind tells you stories that are simply not true. ("i fail at everything i do, " etc.) you are alive and breathing, so there is more right with you than otherwise. Addiction to opiates can also bring physical withdrawal when you stop. No one needs to do this alone. Aa & na will continue to work with you as long as you work with them. Lapses are usual, and do not mean failure.
