Not weak: Tramadol is not weak. Dental pain is hard to do a lot with, at times.

Not necessarily: It depends on the severity of the infection and your other health conditions. Your weight may be a factor. Longevity of the pain can make it harder to stop. Treating the source of the pain is your best pain relief option. Other meds may work better for you, so see a dentist soon.!
