A member asked:

Is cervical biopsy painful ? are they giving any pain killers or something?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but........: People have different tolerances to pain. A minor cramp to one person may be agony in another. However, if the cervical biopsies are small, the average person experiences a sharp sensation for a second, then a dull discomfort for another minute or two. Consider taking two advils (ibuprofen) an hour or so before. Never hesitate to ask these questions of your practitioner!
