There isn't one: Ultherapy, despite the marketing, isn't even close to being in the same league as a facelift, when it comes to fixing skin laxity. The smas facelift is still the champion.

Not really: A facelift will reposition the soft tissues of the face to a more youthful position. The current emphasis is much more on fat repositioning than fat removal. A facelift will not treat fine wrinkles in the skin. Surface treatments such as skin care, peels, and laser treatments will do this, but will do nothing about sagging soft tissues like a surgical facelift. Close but no cigar...

Lite Lift : Posted in article | the litelift™ is a type of modified smas facelift technique a smas lift in general refers to any facelift technique that tightens the smas layer along with overlying skin in a more youthful position. Specifically, the smas face lift does its magic by lifting and tightening the jowls, neck, and cheeks more youthful. Ulthera minimally tightens skin and that is about it.

Facelift alternative: It would be a combination of using botox, fillers and skin tightening lasers. Sculptra would be a great filler for that purpose.

Nothing so far.: Nothing can reproduce the same results as a surgical smas facelift. Ulthera works best in patients not requiring a facelift, those in a younger population.

None: A facelift repositions the lax underlying muscles, sculpts the extra fat, lifts and smooths out the hanging skin. There is no substitution for an artistically performed facelift. Ultherapy is a device that imparts ultrasound to the tissues to tighten them . It is a good adjunct to a facelift or temporizing procedure before one. www.artofplasticsurgery.com

No one procedure: In the right candidate, the use of several different modalities can be used to rejuvenate the face. The closest would be a combination of Smartlipo and fat grafting or Sculptra. This combination could be used to address fullness in the neck and jowls as well as mild laxity of tissues in the mid-face.

Facelift alternative: No other procedure can match a surgical facelift in terms of results. With surgery, underlying tissues are repositioned and then excess skin is removed. Any other "tightening" procedure has its limits.

Facelift Alt: If you have alot of loose skin, nothing will come close to a facelift. For patients with some fullness and little to moderate loose skin, facial liposuction combined with thermi RF can help. Combining fillers with the procedure can often help too. Dissolving the double chin with kybella in the office is another option.
