Tegaderm/garbage bag: Large tegaderm to completely cover dressing and or entry site of nephrostomy tube. Can also wrap large plastic garbage around waist above level of tube to keep it dry. Would also suggest you help future patients by advising your nephrostomy dr./institution to provide printed handout instruction sheet on self care after such a procedure.
