Since a nephrostomy tube just slides out when removed can i do it at home if the doctor says it can come out? i live 2hours away from my doc.

It might be secured: with a suture or some other anchoring device. Also, removal can cause bleeding, catheter breakage, or some other complication. Ask your urologist if you can do this safely at home.
