What can i do to prevent problems from a nephrostomy tube?

Nephrons tony tube : Flushing the tube w 10 cc sterile 0.9% Normal Saline daily will reduce blockage. Changing your nephrostomy tube as scheduled (usually 2-3 mth). Cleaning the site with some peroxide and applying some antibiotic ointment. Make sure tubing has enough slack so it doesn't kink. Increase fluid intake (if ok w your doctor).
