Pain: The question is why do you think he/she has throat pain? It the baby feeding poorly, does he have any other symptoms, does he have a fever, is he irritable and crying and is he teething? An appropriate dose of Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can help in the short term but the baby should be examined to determine the cause of the symptom.
