No risk, no worry: Probably it's not a cold sore. Oral herpes (cold sores) occur on the outside of the face, usually the lips. Sores inside the mouth usually are canker sores -- not the same and not due to herpes simplex virurs (HSV). Even if you have oral herpes, it is extremely unlikely you could transmit it to your penis or anywhere else. People are immune to new infections with the HSV type they already have.
