No!: The question is ambiguous, since many non-arthritic causes of joint noise exist! i tell my medical students that rice crispies are part of the musculoskeletal system!

Clicking joints : No, the clicking, cracking sounds are from air pockets in the joints. It does not cause arthritis. I believe the old wives take was to stop people from cracking their knuckles in public.
