Temple is sore like a bruise but no mark. ear pain, jaw clicking, pain under jaw bone to chin. doc says tmd. motrin doesn't help. tmj cause this pain?

Yes: Click indicates disc displaced. You can't fix this by taking a pill. See your Dentist. As if referral to Orthodontist or Oral Surgeon is in order. You need someone to determine the cause of your dysfunction and to treat the cause.

It Can: TMJ or TMD are the same thing.. Motrin may or may not help. Ice can help. mouthguard can help. You may want to see a orthodontist.

Definitely, yes: TMJ symptoms are pain in the jaw, pain at your temples, earache, earache, and popping or clicking noise. TMJ disorder is a complex medical condition, therefore, it's a good idea to see a TMJ specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
