Need evaluation: Sounds like congenital spinal fusion. These sometimes can be asymmetric and be focus of pain.Sometimes a fracture or pseudarthrosis can occur with motion resulting in pain. The best plan is to be examined by physician and probably image and compare to old study for difference in configuration.
