A 44-year-old member asked:

Are potatoes bad to eat when on a weight loss diet?

No: There is no bad whole food from the list of fresh fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes, fish, dairy, meat and fowl when eaten in portion control without too much added fat to the product. A baked potato without added butter, margarine, may be a good complex carbohydrate when coupled with 3 ounces of meat chicken fish, and half a plate of fresh vegetables.
