Please tell me how long it takes for to get a kidney transplant when a family member wants to give you one?

Transplant center: It depends on the transplant center. On an average, it takes about 3 months if all the tests for both donor and the recipient are done expeditiously.However, it can take upto 6 months, if the recipient has to be prepared for the surgery.
