I'm a type 1 diabetic, and 18 years old. is my body more exposed to illnesses due to my diabetes, or am i just about the same as everyone else?

Wording confusing: A diabetic is not necessarily "exposed" more than anyone else. Exposure is a term that means you were in the presence of the agent to which you were exposed. That is determined by your movements/ not your illness. Diabetes can make healing slower and some illnesses more worrisome.
