Are the nowadays any medications made from heroin?

Too many to count: Firstly, there is no pure heroin - it is cut with all kinds of things, many of which can be dangerous. Secondly, it is not sterile, and people who inject it may be injecting bacteria and fungus into their bloodstream, and if they share needles getting hep b/c or hiv. Overdose with death or brain damage, and becoming physically dependent (hooked) with painful withdrawal are the worst things.
