A member asked:

If heroin does not produce organ damage in the same way as alcohol or other drugs.is it possible for a human to use daily pure h, without major harm .?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Addiction is harm: Although it is largely true that opiates do not do the same type of physical damage to the body that alcohol does, addiction is a dark road that leads to dark places. Some dangers of h are overdose, abscesses or infection from IV use, legal probs. Over time, tolerance grows & more & more must be used to get same effect. Over time using becomes the only thing that is fun. Not a pretty picture.
