Dr. Stuart Wasser
Addiction Medicine 37 years experience
Only blockers: Like Naltrexone will prevent an overdose but these can also precipitate withdrawal. Certain family members will keep injectible Narcan (naloxone) around to respond to an overdose; this will wear off in an hour or two.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
