For vitamin d deficiencies, how do you know besides blood work?

Risk factors: You can not know for sure without blood work as the many symptoms of low d are non-specific, but it is pretty much certain that all americans become deficient in the winter unless they supplement with d or live in the deep south & get mid-day sun without sunscreen. Since you live in fl, if you get unprotected mid-day sun year-round you might be ok without supplementing.
