Perhaps the: Size and location of the cyst was invading a space that resulted in the pain. Hard to tell. If your surgeon took a cbct 3d scan - might be able to she'd more light. In any event in glad to hear the pain is gone. Hope this helps and thanks for the question.

Referred pain: Almost anything that hurts someplace can have some pain in other places show up. Why? We aren't always sure. In your hard palate case, some of the nerves going there may have been pressed on by the inflammation around the lesion that was removed.
