Doesn't the liver regenerate? why should i worry about taking new medications?

Inconsistent: The liver can partially regenerated if a portion of a healthy liver is removed surgically. When you take drugs that cause liver toxicity, they do so over the entire liver and may cause damage severe enough that regeneration is not possible.

Should be aware.: Liver cells regenerating all the time. Your doc should worry about your medications as it is generally too technical for the lay person to predict liver toxicity and drug / drug interactions. You should listen to them. Be honest about alcohol use and your history of any liver disease.
