Many causes: Liver disease can result from excessive alcohol, viruses, bacteria, developmental issues and environmental or other toxins. Your youth is a bonus. Talk to your doctor and follow his/her advice. Limit alcohol and tobacco use--eliminate them if possible for best chances. Good luck.

WHOA!!!: Please forgive my frankness. You owe it to yourself to find out why your liver function tests (i assume) and bilirubin are abnormal. My own bet is that this is your wake-up call -- you are drinking more than is good for you. Retest after you stop, or as your physician advises. Please do this, if not out of respect for yourself, then for those who love you. Best wishes.
