A member asked:

If i walk 30 minutes daily at 5 km/h, will it be useful for weight loss? and if no, what is the recommended practice to get result?

Distance not time: Walking is an excellent exercise. The speed is not as important as the distance. At 5 km/h for 30 min you will walk about 2.5 km (1.5 mile). Depending on your size, you will burn about 120-180 calories. To lose 1 lb you need to burn 3500 calories. I generally recommend walking 15 miles (24 km) per week in order to lose weight.
