No: Gallstones can be observed if there is no discomfort or problems. Gallstones that cause pain or nausea usually are best treated with surgery to resolve the problem. Actgall is a medication that may dissolve some gallstones, but can take 2-3 years, does not work on large or calcified stones & gallstones can return if medication is stopped.
