Depends: Gallstones are the result of a disease process and only resolved by the removal of the gallbladder. If pain is not a symptom, there could be other vague symptoms present. Also, why wait for a severe attack and possible related complications. While surgery is not immune to complication, it is very safe. A sincere discussion with a surgeon will help you decide.
