Maybe: The temporomandibular joint is right near the ear. Tmj problems can be associated dislocation , osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Bone overgrowth in this region can be causing lump. A specialist in this disorder with imaging of TMJ area could define problem and recommend treatment.
