Maybe: The temporomandibular joint is right near the ear. Tmj problems can be associated dislocation , osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Bone overgrowth in this region can be causing lump. A specialist in this disorder with imaging of TMJ area could define problem and recommend treatment.

TMJ ; lump related?: Possibly. Might be a benign TMJ tumor. See a board certified oral ; maxillofacial surgeon. Your medical doc will know nothing about this problem.
