Preauricular lump : Painful lump in front of the ear is most likey an enlarged lymph node, due to an ongoing infection in the the ear teeth or face, it can also be an enlarged mumps gland due to infection or blockage of the opening of the duct inside the mouth, in either case she need to be cheched by her pediatrician, use tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for pain until she gets cheched.
