A member asked:

Would you recommend taking supplements with vascular parkinson's. e.g co enzyme q10. what dose? glucosamine. what dose vitaminc c.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Parkinson's : I no longer recommend coq10 for idiopathic parkinson's disease based on a study by the nih that showed no efficacy. However, it was found to be safe. Some notice more energy with it. Glucosamine is used for moderate to severe osteoarthritis and works pretty good on most. Vitamin c may be used from 100-1000 mg daily. I am not certain if there is any proven benefit with stroke, or parkinson's dx.
