A member asked:

How does someone develope migraines if they never had a history of them before?

Family history: Migraines are unusual to develope later in life but consider family history prior experiences which could have been migraines and not recognized as such. If properly diagnosed and treated you could start them anytime but be sure the diagnosis is correct for migraine and not just a bad headache.

Yes: First diagnosis has to be confirmed, then your doctor may decide to look for cause.
