5% : 5% of people with migraines will have migraine auras without the accompanying pain known as "silent migraines" or "acephalgic migraines". This is more common in older patients who have had a long history of migraines. That being said, it's very important that other disorders such as eye disease, stroke or seizure be ruled out as a cause of your new symptoms. Give your doctor a call to discuss the symptoms you have been having. Even if you do not have a more serious disorder, silent migraines can be successfully treated, so it's important that you see your doctor as soon as possible. Good luck!

Ocular migraine: This could be an ocular migraine which would be a type of migraine consisting of eye or vision symptoms/changes without the pain. These are generally scary but harmless and usually resolve on their own within an hour.
