Yes and not: Depending on the type of neuropathy that you have, injury may or may not affect it. If you have radiculopathy, then recurring back injury can affect neuropathic sensations. Swelling due to trauma could swell tissues around nerves but not common in back of the leg (i'm assuming its by your achilles), rather impingement by a muscle in the posterior (butt), can flare up sciatica.
