I hve high cholesterol, dr gave me 2 months to exercise/diet otherwise statins, but i feel very light headed for some days now, could chol be the caus?

Numbers are't right: Current symptoms not due to cholesterol. Statins at your age no matter how high cholesterol seems aggressive. Lengthy discussion, but your risk of any vascular disease within the next 20 years is virtually zero. (google framingham risk calculator) statins reduce risk but reducing zero = no real benefit. This would all change if i knew you had vascular disease.

Pain in arm and chest . Has high cholesterol. Dr. Started statin two weeks ago and then stopped due to muscle cramps and congestion issues. Now I'm on bezafibrate but feeling more pain in left arm and cramps in legs and sometimes sharp pain in chest.
Can we stop taking statins? Or will my cholesterol zoom up after stopping statins, even if I maintain exercise and low fat diet?
