It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. You should consult a cardiologist to assess your heart health and risk of vascular disease. If you need statins, you would require a prescription and the latter cannot be done in this forum.

Given your family history and the known effectiveness of statins, I would strongly recommend that you discuss and seriously consider statin therapy. If you are intolerant to statins, new and effective drugs are available. You should discuss these approaches with your cardiologists given the risk associated with your lipids and family history. Do not be afraid to explore these options in detail.
