Answers: Fatty liver and hep. B are two different things. Hepatitis b doesn't increase your chance for fatty liver, but fatty liver promotes destruction of the liver cells and thus makes the destruction done by hepatitis b virus worse. Metformin is ok to take for fatty liver. Signs of fatty liver are minimal if any. Usually we see elevation of liver enzymes and other tests including viral hep ones are -.
