OK: If you want to eat some sweets in moderation it is ok to do so. If you are a diabetic then follow your medical doctors guidelines. Just make sure to brush and floss everyday.

Yes you can: It's ok to eat sweet once in a while as long as you eat in moderation, and of course floss and brush after

Yes, however...: I agree with my colleagues that life is for living & sweets can be enjoyed in moderation. But some sweets are healthier than others. Chocolate is actually good for us- however, the sugar added to it is not, so choose dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa solids and you could have 1/3 of a large bar daily! minimize sodas- if you ever indulge, choose one with natural cane sugar- see my comment:.

Absolutely: I'm a dentist & a chocoholic (with moderation of course). Some candy and snacks are worse than others. It is all dependent upon frequency of use, time in contact with teeth, and type of candy or snack. Sticky snacks and long lasting ones such as breath mints, lollipops, caramels, etc are bad. Chocolate washes away quickly and is not so bad. When you can't brush & floss, at least rinse afterwards.
