Hypoglycemia: Why is your blood glucose dropping? The liver typically does an excellent job of maintaining blood glucose. If you are experiencing drops in blood glucose, you should see your physician to investigate the underlying cause and possibly adjust your medication.

Don't do it: You don't need to eat anything special to keep your blood sugar up, as your body will do that automatically no matter what you eat. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is vanishingly rare if you're not taking diabetes meds, don't have cancer, GI surgery, or severe kidney or liver disease.
