Numbness: This is usually a transient issue and it can take up to one year for it to return. There should be progression of return of sensation over time. Check with your doctor and let them know where the numbness is present.

Probable nerve issue: You probably have a nerve related issue. You may have a continuing infection that is placing pressure on the nerve and / or the nerve may have been reversibly damaged or irreversibly severe during the implant procedure or its corrective surgical procedure. Advise your dentist so he/she can diagnose the cause, prescribe corrective care and/or give you a short or long term prognosis.

Nerve: I am concerned that the implant has affected the nerve to you lower lip. See you oral surgeon (who hopefully put it in) about the implant and it's relationship to the nerve.
