Possibly: An infection with intraosseous pressure may manifest itself as a "numbness" in certain areas of your face. Please see a dentist immediately to have this treated, since prolonged pressure like this can cause permanent damage to the local tissue.

ANY: Onset of numbness, especially on the head, and especially of unknown etiology (cause) warrants immediate investigation. If you suspect an infected tooth as the cause see your dentist immediately. If you are just guessing and have no real reason to make the association, see your primary care physician immediately. Could be simple answer or serious, find out which one.
